"If Carlsberg did...." campaign launched in Malaysia
Like most guys in general, I hate shopping. If only there's a place I could just relax and wait while enjoying a nice cold glass of beer. Well, in most shopping malls, there are. On June 5th (before I went for a week-long vacation), Carlsberg Malaysia launched the If Carlsberg Did... campaign, which has been running all around the world, which plays with the brand's trademark humour and imagination. Check out this cheeky 30-sec web video and you'd know what it's all about;
Carlsberg Malaysia took that idea off the screen and sort of brought it to life that weekend at Pavilion and Mid Valley Mega Mall in KL, Gurney Plaza in Penang and The Shore in Malacca, where shoppers who were carrying shopping bags were treated to a free pint of Carlsberg at these participating outlets. According to Juliet Yap (Marketing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia), there will be 5 more witty web films set for release. If you can't wait, you could probably watch some of them now by searching #IfCarlsbergDid.
Complementing this campaign, 150 participating food courts and Chinese restaurants throughout the country will be running the Carlsberg Get-Together Night. At these events, consumers stand a chance to win a barrel of Carlsberg at the outlet.
