BATMAN v SUPERMAN hitting cinemas 24 March — Final trailer review

batman superman faceoff movie

Batman versus Superman versus Lex Luthor + Doomsday and then comes Wonder Woman — how can we not be excited?!

It doesn't matter how old you are in this society. If you're not at least one bit excited about this upcoming movie, something must've gone wrong in your childhood days. Only 10 days to go before the two iconic superheroes hit the big screens in the same film together and since its Comic Con trailer, plenty more has been revealed in the later ones.

Some fans were unhappy with the spoiler-filled trailer that was released previously and despite director Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, 300) promising that there's much more to come, the final trailer (released a month ago) takes a step back by excluding the scene that shows Doomsday (Robin Atkin Downes) and the gorgeous Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) coming to save both the titular characters with her shield.

In this final trailer, we get to see Batman (Ben Affleck) in action beating some easy crooks after jumping off the Batplane, a hint of the kind of weary relationship between Bruce Wayne/Batman and Alfred (Jeremy Irons), Wayne hitting on Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Superman/Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) trying to hit Batman but fails, Kent jumping the naked Lois Lane (Amy Adam) in the bathtub, and more. It's starting to sound like a film about friendship and love triangle. Hopefully those Doomsday-Wonder Woman and Lois Lane-Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) scenes aren't predictably the third act.

Anyhow, it's a great trailer promising that Batman and Superman will literally hate and fight each other and as a fan, that's all that matters, that's what we want to see. This is probably the only trailer they should've released after the initial one. The film's gonna be epic and I can't wait to find out if he bleeds. As usual, stay tuned for my review on the film. Till then, check out the trailer if you haven't already;

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in Malaysia on 24 March 2016 distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures (M). Advance ticket sale are available at certain cinema operators.
